Apparently hosting is unpredictable and people can just flake on you!
Incase you do not know, I am preparing for an event and two people cancelled on me but i was lowkey relieved but also screaming internally cus what if its a flop but then i realized initially i had intended to invite just three people and along the way I thought of adding more people whom i imagined would be cool to get to know better.
On top of the cancellations? The whole theme was power point night and i am unable to cast the contents of my laptop or phone unto the tv screen.
I am trying to think on my feet and positively but then i think to myself, who hasn’t had glitches at events they were hosting? But anyway i might figure it out and i might not but i still have my spirit thats for sure.
One of the best evenings I had one day was me, the ex and two of his friends playing cards in the middle of a power cut. I love anagrams.
Once upon a time, when I didn't hate my colleagues, I would organise little games on the white board at work. The last one was country anagrams: NYRGMARE for example. 😄 It wasn't even testing knowledge. But definitely some level of literacy. x
